Baleen ditty box, round, with wood lid and base. Lid is inlaid with concentric heart shaped pieces of mother-of-pearl and abalone. Baleen sides of lid decorated with leaf pattern. Box decorated with American bark, ship, and schooner plus French(?) brig. Fastened with nails.
