Whalebone, mother of pearl, and wood cane from family of Captain Joseph Warren Holmes of Mystic, CT. Dark wood shaft with white tip and knob. Knob is turned and decorated with a black and white star surrounded by black dots; has brown cord attached which has 2 turned wooden acorn-shaped tassles. Shaft has fluted bottom, has mother of pearl inlaid arrows, diamonds (2.5 missing), hearts (2.5 missing), and crescents (1.5 missing).
