Tooth; Sperm whale tooth; from the collection of George Elliott (1810-1862); tooth of a sperm whale; narrows towards tip, and is flat on one side; was possibly trimed from original length, and had sides smoothed down to allow for scrimshaw; came in burlap bag (2007.12.24) with other teeth and tusks.
