Print of engraving "The Fair Equestrian" by J.I. Pease for Godey's Lady's Book. Image depicts woman on horseback dressed in a brown riding habit, yellow vest, blue scarf, and riding hat. Woman is mounted on a white horse with a pink tack and pink ribbons braided through the main. A black and white dog, likely a type of hound or other hunting dog, is seen running along with the woman and horse. Print appears to have been ripped out of a book as there is some damage to the left edge. Tear and loss of paper along the bottom left edge. Top edge is worn. Some foxing evident on the back. Same scene is on MSM scrimshaw tooth 1993.98.1. Overall: 9 3/4 x 6 1/4 in.
